We're halfway to fantastic guide creators and editors!
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
Most of the guide code hit the live site tonight.

You can now create guides from /Guide/New/, though the buttons aren't wired up yet.

You can also edit your guides by pulling them up from your profile, then hitting "edit"

The form works and saves without problem, but ...

Fixing or changing bugdar colors
by Steven Skoczen
On an indirect SixLinks note, here's a tip for anyone who needs to change the colors in Bugdar 1.2.

As some people may know, the SixLinks bug-tracker is powerered by bugdar. It's a great little tracker, though some of the coding choices are pretty baffling.

However, if ...

More changes rolling in..
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
We've now got good backups, which should make everyone feel better.

We also now have some nice add-as-friend buttons on friendable pages, and allow people to favorite blogs and fixes without friending a person. (You know, for when you want to follow Al Gore's blog, but are too ...

Really?
by Steven Skoczen
The band called "Minus the Bear" released an album called "We are not football players".

Wait. Really? Is that what we've come to in music?

Powered by cookies and coffee
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
So I got a christmas package from my parents a few days ago, and since then, have been living essentially on cookies and coffee.

I suspect somehow that that's how I'll make it to alpha release.

In other news, we now have titles on every page (or at ...

Just taking a moment to appreciate the scale
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
Jeff has created over 120 pages, with 200+ citations. That's a phenomenal amount of content.

I've written 6900+ lines of code. Put into book-style pages, that'd be about a 230 page manuscript.

We've been working our asses off, but with a quick look back over the ...

Profiles, feeds, and signing up! It's starting to feel like we're getting there.
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
Tonight's set of changes are mostly that you can now:

a) edit your profile (minus the avatar) (for which a default was added and now works)
b) that you can actually create an account, and set it up without any human interaction.

Now, mind you I haven't actually ...

Hold onto your hoodies, folks.
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
EDIT: orrrr, don't hold on to them. Figured out a way around that mess that seems to work.

Just realized that ANOTHER code refactoring needs to hit the back end.

This one even scares me.

Will probably hit live late tonight.

Little tweaks go a long way..
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
Favorites have been improved.

You can now fav individual blog pages, someone's blog, and fixes, and have them show up on your updates page. Additionally, comments generate update items under some very specific (hopefully non-annoying) conditions:

- If there's a new comment on one of your blogs, and the ...

And that was significantly less painful
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
New look is up, as well as nice tweaks for favorites, auto-favoriting of used guides (can be overridden), and some signifigant css fixes.

Like, for example, the fact that flags on inline fixes don't look like crap anymore. So that's nice.

Now, to get to more functionality adding.

Damn, that hurt.
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
Just finished a round of updates that created massive headaches, and killed anything put into the site in the last few days at least.

Registration works now though, as well as favorites, updates feeds for favorited pages, and some stuff I can't remember right now.

Sweet, now there's an updates page
by SixLinks Developers - Steven Skoczen
The updates page now works.

Minus new friend updates. Those will have to wait until there's a way to add friends in the interface.

Oh crap, I also forgot all the stuff about filtering and flags. time to get to work!
