So, we got some major fixes in today. A couple of these impacted the site code in significant ways, so please us know if you run into any problems, especially editing guides or fixes.
The changes, from what I remember and in no particular order:
Guides and fixes can now only have one link and one scope.
If a guide previously had more than one, the first in the list was used. If you've made fixes and guides with multiples, please check that the best one is now used!
This change was made to make the categorization more useful. Ultimately, nearly every fix and guide effects one of the links (that's why we called them "links" in the first place). But if you're looking for something on transportation, you shouldn't really see results about eating less meat. Switching to only one ("the best fit") link and scope lets us filter people's results more usefully. If you think this is crap, let us know!
Guides now actually show all the info you put in
Things like step times, supplies, and money savers now show. They're very rough, and guides and fixes will have a major rework in the future. A big part of what we're hoping to learn from you all is how you want them to work, and how you actually use them.
New guide button on your guides list
This was missing by a bug in the code. It's been fixed.
Site looks good on wide screens
This one thanks to nick and his spiffy laptop. The green top bar should now look good on screens up to 2500xfoo. If you have a bigger screen than that, let me know. And send me one. You know, for testing.
Add as friend button for teams
You could already add teams via the left-side profile icon, but we put in a button to make it more explicit. It's useful to add teams (perhaps like ours) if you want to keep up to date on new discussions, pages, or guides they make. Very similar to friending a person!
That's what we've got for tonight, and it clears out all bugs above minor. Hope everyone's having fun with the site, and keep the ideas coming!!
