Rachel's action: Have a car-free day once a week

This will force you to think about how much you use your car and get you to be less reliant on it, saving you money, reducing your emissions, and possibly also leading to a less stressful day once a week.
Step 1: Figure out when you drive and where read more
Keep a log of where you drive and when for two weeks.

Step 2: Pick one day a week that you can get by without the car read more
Think about what trips could be combined or eliminated. Maybe you could do all your errands on one day. Look into public transit, biking, walking, and carpooling. Try to use that information to figure out a day you can get by without driving. Make commitment to it and stick with it.

If it's not possible for you right now, try to at least complete the drive less guide, and then try this guide again in a few months. Perhaps decide to not drive after you get home from work a couple days a week or work to make only 1 trip to the grocery store a week.

I'm going to aim for Sunday as my car-free day. Lucky for us, groceries are a walkable distance away!

Step 3: Stick to it read more
If an occasional thing comes up and you need to cheat, that's fine. Try to give up a different day that week. If you find you keep running into issues, try to pick a new day by starting at step 1 again. Once you're confident you can stick with your chosen day off of driving, you are done.

Checking this for now, because I've been able to keep Sunday as my car-free days for the past few weeks. Will un-check if that changes, but it looks like Sundays are going to work!
