Ask friends and family for suggestions, or just search online. The AZA (aza.org) has a resource for finding nearby zoos and aquariums.

Read all the signs, fall in love with a plant or animal. Learn what this particular institution is doing to help the rest of the world. Figure out if they are involved in any cool programs with other institutions.

A membership will often give you free admission to their institution as well as many others around the country.
