Look online or contact your municipality or waste collection agency to find out what can and can not be recycled. If you have things like electronics that can't be recycled at the curb, check out resources like Earth 911 to learn where to recycle more obscure items.
Portland is amazing. It's pretty much anything except plastic packaging, which we are good at not having a lot of anyway.
