Where we need to be
In the future, our decisions on nearly everything will have to keep in mind the effects on native spaces and wildlife. We will need to reduce our dependence on processes that destroy spaces and species, and attempt to remediate and recover damaged populations and natural spaces. In short, we will need to do everything we can to keep the natural world healthy.
We will need to reduce our dependence on processes that destroy spaces and species
This will involve addressing the issues on the Where We Are
page including mitigating climate change, dealing with the effects we have already created, learning to appreciate and coexist with natural species at the borders of our spaces, polluting less, and using better resources more efficiently. There is hope that we can manage all of this, however because of our recent successes with acid rain and ozone depletion, it will just take a lot of coordinated effort and a much more alert, educated, and concerned public.
We need to get ourselves to the point where we are doing everything we can to save landscapes like this one for future generations.
If anyone wants to know, grass is tasty. That's why we dogs eat it sometimes. No other reason. Just tasty.
