This will take you through all of the major features of the SixLinks website. If you are new here or you are wondering if you have been missing anything, this is the guide for you. It's by far the longest guide on the site, but there's a lot you can do here! So take your time and try it one step at a time. By the end, you'll have a much better idea of everything you can do on SixLinks.

Click the "Me" link at the top of this screen to get to your Profile page. The first tab will be your updates of the things you've done on the site. The next tab will be "About Me". If you click the "Edit your Profile" button, you can write a description about you that will show up on your About Me page for others to see. This is what you want other users of SixLinks to know about you.

Use the step above to get into the page where you can edit your profile. In your profile there is a "words that describe me field". Put in 10 words or short phrases separated by commas that describe you. Eventually, these will help link people to each other and to guides and news articles and other cool things around the website.

Find a person to follow. You can follow a person by clicking on their name and icon to get to their profile page. Once there, click the "Follow This Person" link. This will cause their updates to show up on your Following page. Look around and find someone interesting looking. Don't worry, it's not creepy to follow the updates of someone you don't know, in fact, we encourage it (it's a great way to meet new people).

If you don't know anyone and don't want to follow someone random, you can always follow Steven, Jeff, or Tomo.

Look through the Get The Facts section by clicking the tab at the top of the screen and find a section that interests you to read. Once you've done that, you can use the area right below this to type a little update on what you read and click the post button to post it.

Find a Get The Facts section that you are interested in hearing news stories about. Go to that section's News link (you can get there by going to the content section and clicking the News link on the left bar). Click the Follow This Section button and new news stories for that section will show up on your Following page.

Go to the "Me" link and click the "New Post" button. Here you can talk about anything, preferably related to something about the site, such as why you joined or how you heard about it or what your initial thoughts on it are. Click the Save Post button and it will show up in your updates feed. Also, anyone following you will see the post and you'll be emailed if someone makes a comment on it.

Go to the My Part section and look around the guides there. Pick one you think you can do, read through what it is, why it's important, and the instructions and then start the guide.

Go to the Talk page and find a discussion that looks interesting to you to post in. Read through some of the comments others have made and add your thoughts to the discussion.

Click on the Suggestions button on the bottom right of any page. It will bring you to the suggestions for that page. From there, you can click on the All Suggestions button to see all the suggestions (you'll already by seeing these if the page you clicked from didn't have any suggestions itself).

These are things that people are noticing about the site that they think could be improved. Read through some, click on one you have an opinion on, and use the up and down buttons to vote up or down for the suggestion (up if you think it's something the SixLinks Developers should look at soon, down if you think it's not so important).

You may have noticed references to premium memberships around the site. If you've seen people with a nice little flower next to their names, they are premium members. The website is mostly funded through premium memberships. These members get some special features, extra points, plus that warm, fuzzy feeling that they are helping to keep the site running. So, remember that task that you started in My Part in step 7? Once you've finished that, you can check this step off and you're almost done with this action too. There is more to check out around SixLinks, you can raise flags, start discussions, and make suggestions, to name a few things, but your introduction is pretty much over.
