Guide: Donate to a seed bank

Steps to get it done:

Check out this guide, and get motivated
Seed banks are there to maintain the variety of plants we have available to plant. They are usually used to maintain wild relatives of agricultural plants. We increasingly rely on fewer and fewer plants to meet all of the world's food demand, which could be bad if a disease comes and wipes one of the plants out. Seed banks store the variety of plants we used to have growing naturally.
Step 1: Research a couple seed banks
Learn what seed banks do in general and then find some and read about what they specifically work with. Do they work with a general type of plant? A certain region?
Step 2: Pick one to donate to
Pick one you are particularly interested in. It could be one that is working near you, or one whose mission really appeals to you, or just the one with the coolest website.
Step 3: Donate
We recommend half a day's pay or a day's worth of time donated to these sorts of groups a year, but it's ultimately up to you.
Step 4: Optional: Follow up
